Support
Email support@davedangle.com and we'll get back to you, usually within a day or two. It helps to say which trainer and iPhone you use, and what happened.
Which trainers work?
Any smart trainer that supports Bluetooth FTMS, which is most trainers made since 2020: Wahoo KICKR, Tacx, Elite, Saris, Zwift Hub and others. Pair it in Wattage's Settings.
My trainer won't connect
Make sure Bluetooth is on and allowed for Wattage (iPhone Settings, then Wattage). Close other apps that might be connected to the trainer, like Zwift or the manufacturer's app, since a trainer only talks to one at a time. Then try again from Wattage's Settings.
Heart rate
Wattage uses your Apple Watch, or any Bluetooth heart rate strap you pair in Settings. With the Watch, open Wattage on it once so it can record.
Outdoor rides
Start Outdoor Ride in Wattage on your Apple Watch. Allow location the first time, so it can measure distance and speed. The ride reaches your iPhone the next time they're together.
Apple Health and Strava
Wattage saves each ride to Apple Health; change what it can read and write in the Health app (tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Wattage). To upload rides to Strava, connect it in Wattage's Settings, and disconnect there anytime.
Deleting your account
In Wattage, go to Settings, then Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and ride history from our servers. Rides you saved to Apple Health or Strava stay there. See the privacy policy for details.
